Every month we put together a carefully chosen collection of handmade Ghanaian glass beads. Gloriously wonky, colour-coordinated, and full of character.
- The Mini gives you everything you need to make one finished bracelet.
- If you want more, a matching pair of earrings, or a full set with a necklace then the Midi and Maxi boxes have you covered.
- Each month has its own theme. This year's themes have included icy blues, gorgeous greens and spring flowers.
Every month is different, and you never quite know what's coming. Which is half the fun.

How the African Bead Box Works
The complicated and stressful bit? We do it for you.
1. Choose your box (mini, midi, maxi) based on how much you want to make each month.
2. Every month we choose, coordinate, and pack a themed collection of gloriously wonky Ghanaian glass beads.
3. You open your box. The colours work together. The quantities are just right. Now enjoy your monthly dose of bead-fuelled happiness!

Everything you need to know about your bead subscription
How long does shipping take to the UK?
We ship from our UK warehouse, so delivery typically takes 2-3 business days. All shipping is free on subscriptions.
How do you ensure I'll get enough beads?
We always make jewellery from our boxes and test the size (you can buy some of this from our Etsy store). For bracelets and necklaces we also use bead boards to ensure there will be enough beads. As our beads are large and make great focal points, it also works well to combine the necklace beads with seed beads to ensure the weight of the finished piece is manageable.
How does billing work for subscriptions?
You'll be charged when you sign up, then automatically on your renewal date. Monthly subscriptions renew every 30 days, 3-month subscriptions every 90 days, and annual subscriptions every 365 days.
Can I cancel or pause my subscription?
Absolutely! You can cancel anytime from your account dashboard or contact our support team.
